Why stress for a runny nose?
I am often asked what is an Ear Nose and Throat specialist doing writing about and curing people of stress?
In Stressed? Anxiety? Your Cure is in the Mirror on page 336 I actually devote several sections on reducing stress chemicals for postnasal drip, chronic sinusitis and ENS.
Frequently I see patients who have had the best medical treatment or surgery. Yet, they still complain of nasal congestion, heavy drainage, one sinus infection after another requiring antibiotics, and loss of sleep.
Commonly the important factor I find is poor immunity because of stress chemicals. Best of all, these patients get improved once they do reduce their stress chemicals.
In my earlier book, The Sinus Cure, I had a section for relaxatioin. Later, I heard from readers that this was the one thing that helped them the most!
It is easy to get confused. Yes, antibiotics help clear a sinus infection. Yes, Hydro Pulse™ pulse wave action removes bacteria and biofilm and helps to restore good cilia function, But, if the immune system isn’t in full function, there is lowered resistance and more infections can occur.
I get letters and get consultations from persosn who have not done well. Sometimes as simple a thing as adding Xylitol sugar to the Hydro Pulse is all that is needed. Or, drinking hot tea, lemon and honey to stimulate better cilia movement. However, strikingly, reducing the stress chemicals often turns out the factor that is the cure, because when the stress chemicals are reduced, the good immune factors can multiply to improve overall health.
Again, I am seeing the patients who have failed “best” therapeutic measures and these patients are benefited by the Stressed? Anxiety? Your Cure is in the Mirror program of breathing and muscle actions.
But, I do see patients who are not stressed and all they need is hot tea, lemon and honey to restore their nasal cilia!
